ABOUT THE BAR EXAM

Format

Day 1:
Kentucky essay portion (six essay questions)
MEE (six questions)

Day 2:
MBE: 200 questions

Subjects

• Administrative Law and Procedure
• Business Entities (corporation, partnerships and/or others)
• Civil Procedure
• Conflict of Laws
• Constitutional Law
• Contracts
• Criminal Law and Procedure
• Domestic Relations
• Estates (wills and/or trusts)
• Evidence
• Federal Taxation
• Property (real and/or personal)
• Torts
• UCC (sales, secured transactions and/or negotiable instruments)

Grading

Passing score (essay portion)--75%, or 900 out of 1200 possible points
Passing score (MBE)--scaled score of 132

An applicant must pass essay and MBE separately.
